Educational Criteria
Candidates must have passed Matriculation or the 10th Class Examination from a recognized board as of January 1, 2025.

Selection Procedure
1. Computer-Based Examination (CBE):
- Format: Objective type with 80 questions divided into four parts: General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge & Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and English/Hindi.
- Marks: Each section contains 20 questions; a total of 160 marks.
- Negative Marking: 0.50 marks are deducted for each wrong answer.
- Duration: 60 minutes.
- Languages: Available in English, Hindi, and 13 regional languages.
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
- Male Candidates:
- 5 km run in 24 minutes.
- For candidates from the Ladakh region: 1.6 km run in 7 minutes.
- Female Candidates:
- 1.6 km run in 8½ minutes.
- For candidates from the Ladakh region: 800 meters in 5 minutes.
- Note: Ex-servicemen are exempted from PET but will undergo PST for measurement recording.
3. Physical Standard Test (PST):
- Measurements:
- Height: 170 cm for males, 157 cm for females (with relaxations for specific categories and regions).
- Chest (Males only): 80 cm unexpanded with a minimum expansion of 5 cm (relaxations apply for certain categories).
4. Detailed Medical Examination (DME):
- Assessment: Evaluation of physical and medical fitness as per CAPF guidelines.

5. Review Medical Examination (RME):
