The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has announced the notification for the Common Recruitment Process (CRP) Clerks-XIV for the recruitment of clerks in participating banks for the vacancies of 2025-26. Educational Criteria
To be eligible for the IBPS Clerk position, candidates must have a degree in any discipline from a recognized university or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government. Additionally, candidates should have proficiency in the official language of the State/UT for which they are applying.
Age Criteria
Candidates must meet the following age criteria as of July 1, 2024:
- Minimum Age: 20 years
- Maximum Age: 28 years
Candidates must have been born between July 2, 1996, and July 1, 2004 (inclusive dates).
Age Relaxation
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities: 10 years
- Ex-Servicemen/Disabled Ex-Servicemen: Actual period of service rendered in the defence forces + 3 years (8 years for SC/ST Disabled Ex-Servicemen), subject to a maximum age limit of 50 years.
- Widows, Divorced Women, and Women legally separated from their husbands who have not remarried: Age concession up to 35 years for General/EWS, 38 years for OBC, and 40 years for SC/ST candidates.
- Persons affected by 1984 riots: 5 years.
Exam Fees
- SC/ST/PWBD/EXSM candidates: Rs. 175/-
- All other candidates: Rs. 850/-
Selection Procedure
The IBPS Clerk recruitment process consists of three main stages:
Preliminary Examination:
- The preliminary exam is the first stage and serves as a qualifying test.
Main Examination:
- Candidates who qualify for the preliminary exam are eligible to appear for the main exam.
Provisional Allotment:
Candidates who qualify in the main exam will be provisionally allotted to one of the participating banks based on their merit and preference.
