Educational Criteria

Age Criteria

Candidates must meet the following age criteria as of July 1, 2024:

  • Minimum Age: 20 years
  • Maximum Age: 28 years

Candidates must have been born between July 2, 1996, and July 1, 2004 (inclusive dates).

Age Relaxation

  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities: 10 years
  • Ex-Servicemen/Disabled Ex-Servicemen: Actual period of service rendered in the defence forces + 3 years (8 years for SC/ST Disabled Ex-Servicemen), subject to a maximum age limit of 50 years.
  • Widows, Divorced Women, and Women legally separated from their husbands who have not remarried: Age concession up to 35 years for General/EWS, 38 years for OBC, and 40 years for SC/ST candidates.
  • Persons affected by 1984 riots: 5 years.

Exam Fees

  •  SC/ST/PWBD/EXSM candidates: Rs. 175/-
  • All other candidates: Rs. 850/-

Selection Procedure

The IBPS Clerk recruitment process consists of three main stages:

Preliminary Examination:

  •  The preliminary exam is the first stage and serves as a qualifying test.

Main Examination:

  •  Candidates who qualify for the preliminary exam are eligible to appear for the main exam.

Provisional Allotment:

Candidates who qualify in the main exam will be provisionally allotted to one of the participating banks based on their merit and preference.

  • Register yourself by providing basic details like name, contact number, and email ID.
  • A provisional registration number and password will be generated and sent to the registered email ID and mobile number.

2. Upload Photograph and Signature:

  • Upload a scanned copy of your recent passport-sized photograph and signature as per the specifications mentioned in the notification.

3. Filling the Detailed Application Form:

  • Fill in your personal, educational, and contact details.
  • Select the State/UT for which you wish to apply and fill in other relevant details.

4. Payment of Application Fees:

  • Pay the required application fee online through a debit card, credit card, net banking, or other available online payment methods.

5. Final Submission:

  • Review all the details carefully and submit the application form.
  • Take a printout of the e-receipt and application form for future reference.
